Mario Arroyave (Espinal, Colombia, 1983), su acercamiento a la fotografía comienza de manera empírica a los 13 años, trabajo que cultivó

paralelamente mientras estudiaba ingeniería de sistemas y publicidad. En 2010 comenzó su carrera como artista plástico, participando en la apertura

de The Warehouse Art Gallery (actual SGR Gallery). Desde entonces su carrera ha ido en ascenso, consolidándose como uno de los artistas

jóvenes, cuya obra gira en torno a los lenguajes fotográficos.

Sus obras han sido expuestas en muestras individuales y colectivas en galerías e instituciones de Bogotá, Medellín, Lima, São Paulo, Miami, Dallas,

México, Nueva York y Tokio (entre otras).

Su obra parte de la reinvención del ser a través del viaje; del desprendimiento de las interacciones que nos define como una reflexión de información previamente concebida, llegando así a espacios vacantes donde el tiempo desaparece y se nos permite desdibujar para adoptar nuevas formas.

La línea del tiempo, su serie de mayor magnitud y

reconocimiento, refleja esa inexistencia temporal, generando la noción de tiempo-espacio a partir de las interacciones de las personas u objetos que

habitan o actúan en un lugar específico. De este modo se crean vastos paisajes que amplían ese espacio como resultado de la acumulación de las

interacciones que se generan en él, y éstas, a su vez, se sintetizan en un único momento atemporal.

Mario Arroyave (Espinal, Colombia, 1983), his approach to photography begins empirically at age 13, work that he cultivated in parallel while studying systems engineering and advertising. In 2010 he began his career as a plastic artist, participating in the opening of The Warehouse Art Gallery (currently SGR Gallery). Since then his

career has been on the rise, establishing himself as one of the young artists, whose work revolves around photographic languages, with greater recognition in the National scene.

His works have been exhibited in individual and collective exhibitions in galleries and institutions in Bogotá, Medellín, Lima, São Paulo, Miami, Dallas, New York and Tokyo (among others).

His work starts from the reinvention of being through travel; of the detachment of the interactions that define us as a reflection of previously conceived information, thus reaching vacant spaces where time disappears and we are allowed to blur to adopt new forms. Timeline, its series of greater

magnitude and recognition, reflects that temporary non-existence, generating the notion of time-space from interactions of people or objects that inhabit or act in a specific place. In this way vast landscapes are created that expand that space as a result of the accumulation of the

interactions that are generated within it, and these, in turn, are synthesized in a single timeless moment.
